A downloadable plugin
Download NowName your own price
This plugin allows you to offer timed choices in a Ren'Py project, where something happens if the player takes too long to select an option. It introduces a new command that integrates seamlessly in the Ren'Py scripting language.
Example:
e "I'm sure it was you who did it!"
timedchoice:
"Admit":
e "Haha! I knew it!"
"Protest":
e "You can protest all you want!"
timeout "Say nothing":
e "Your silence speaks for you!"

Includes detailed setup instructions and a demo.
See the README file on the project page: https://github.com/Moonpearl/timedchoice

I followed all the instructions, but the code still doesn't recognize "timedchoice" as anything at all or any of the other commands.
What error message are you getting exactly?
My best guess is that your folder structure is incorrect and some of your script files get loaded before the plugin (see the warning in step 1 of the "How to install" section). Otherwise, hitting the "force recompile" button in Ren'Py's interface may help.
If all else fails, please provide a copy of your script files for me to inspect.
